The production of Shangyuanguan red tofu has a history of more than 6 years until the beginning of the 21st century. According to the records of Chenggu County Records, the local specialties of Chenggu such as Shangyuanguan red tofu, oranges in Shengxian Village and Dioscorea zingiberensis were exported to Ankang and Guangyuan in the middle of the Ming Dynasty. Under the condition of inconvenient transportation at that time, Shangyuan Guanhong tofu could be exported to other places, and its popularity was high, its skills were mature, and its scale of production was imaginable.
In 187 (the 12th year of Jiaqing), Shangyuan Guanheng's second wife was widowed and worried about giving a gift to the foster mother Empress Dowager Cixi. After much deliberation, we finally chose the red tofu made by the local specialty Shangyuanguan Old Street sandalwood root workshop. When she went to Beijing in the twelfth lunar month, she gave it to Empress Dowager Cixi, the foster mother. After eating it, the Empress Dowager felt fragrant and refreshing, and her appetite increased greatly. She greatly praised the "red tofu", and Heng's widowed mother returned to Shangyuan Temple, and paid a lot of money to attract sandalwood roots to build a red tofu workshop in Shangyuan Temple, named "Qing Feng Heng" (meaning "Heng Naiheng"). A large number of red tofu were made, and the red tofu made by "Qingfengheng" was presented as a tribute to the court every year. Since then, the "Qingfengheng" workshop has become more and more famous, and its business has become bigger and bigger, which has led to the production of red tofu in the surrounding areas of Shangyuanguan.
In December p>1932, the Red Fourth Front Army led by Marshal Xu Xiangqian entered Shangyuan Temple, and the people gave red bean curd as a gift to the officers and men of the Red Army. After eating it, the officers and men were full of praise.
in March, 1938, the eighth temporary reformatory school of the Kuomintang Military and Political Department moved to Shangyuanguan, and red tofu was very popular as a famous local dish at that time.
In June, 1951, the Red Tofu Workshop was incorporated by Chenggu County Farmers Association.
in December, 1951, the county government took red bean curd as a local famous brand product and sent it to the battlefield of Korean War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea to express condolences to the officers and men.
in April, 1952, we incorporated the "Qingfengheng" workshop to form Shangyuan Guanhong Tofu Factory of Chenggu County Supply and Marketing Cooperative, and moved to Yaerchi since then.

in February, 1996, red tofu was approved by the people's Republic of China and the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce as "Shangyuanguan Brand" as a local famous product.
In May p>1998, due to the impact of market economy, Shangyuan Guanhong Tofu Factory was forced to close down, and Du Chenghui went bankrupt from the county court to buy production.
