The first two issues of riddle world column introduced the definition and guessing method of couplet riddle in detail. There is also a kind of antithetical couplet riddle called "Fuzhou Double Mystery", which was popular in Fuzhou in the middle of19th century and homophonic with Fuzhou dialect. Later, some people reformed this mystery, abandoned the shackles of dialects and walked out of the geographical restrictions. Fuzhou Double Mystery has two riddles and two answers. The riddle is a couplet, and the answer must be a couplet. Generally, riddles are word pairs, three-word pairs, four-word pairs, five-word pairs, seven-word pairs or eight-word pairs, and the answers are one-word, two-word, three-word or four-word pairs.

Lin Zexu, a celebrity in Qing Dynasty, once made such a mystery:

Every year, the couplets I post are two riddles, which are couplets riddles. This custom has been going on for many years. This year, the author's couplet is;

Question 1:

Can a couplet riddle without additional words be called a couplet riddle?

Find the definition first:

The dictionary of riddles says, "Take couplets as riddles. You can borrow couplets or write them yourself. First guess the answer according to the content of the joint article, and then add the words "right, joint, joint, great". "

If you sit according to this number, except for article 5, the rest are excluded from the couplet puzzle.

But as far as I know, many couplet riddles now have no additional words. For example, most of Mr. Zheng Youchang's works, which are famous for couplets riddles, have no words in their answers, but I don't see any objections (sorry I'm ignorant). In addition, in the "Ding Chunlian crossword puzzle party", many authors wrote crossword puzzles with no additional words except my fifth one. Can't we kill them all?

So, my first opinion is:

As long as it is a riddle in the form of couplet, it can be called a couplet riddle.

However, how to distinguish the couplet riddle with additional words from the couplet riddle without additional words? Think twice, but there is no good plan. Do a problem first and put it here.

Question 2:

Couplet riddles such as riddle case No.65438 +0. How about deducting the answers from the upper part and the lower part respectively? Or is it better to put a riddle together like other puzzles? Or both? This is really difficult to answer. Personally, I think that in order to create prosperous couplets, it is best to do both.

Question 3:

Is it necessary to have the same number of words in the riddles and riddles of couplets (especially couplets with riddles deducted from the upper and lower couplets respectively)?

I don't think anyone has asked this question before.

Chatting with Bian Ding the day before yesterday. I thought it over with him and agreed that it was a problem.

There is no authoritative conclusion on this question.

Personal point of view: the number of couplets deducted from the upper and lower couplets should be the same, no matter how many words are used, and couplets like riddle example 6 should be abandoned as much as possible.

The reason is:

A striking feature of couplets is that the upper and lower couplets are equal in words and have symmetrical beauty. When couplets are published, if the number of words in riddles or answers is not uniform, this aesthetic feeling will be destroyed.

Question 4:

Do the riddles of couplets have the same requirements?

On this issue, I think, as long as the mystery is the same, mystery

It is okay to be different.

Such as Bian Ding's couplet riddle:

Yang Jiajiang, Yue Jiajun, heroes of several generations, stories in the book (ancient bibliography), biographies of heroes of children.

Baogong Lake, Gong Lin Dam, a famous minister of the two dynasties, is a scroll painting (ancient painting name).

Although the mystery of this couplet is different, both "ancient bibliography" and "ancient painting name" belong to the literary category, which is pleasing to the eye. Who can't say?

Of course, this is a special riddle. The same riddle is usually easier to grasp.

To sum up the above points, I think:

Couplet riddles can be called couplets with or without additional words, but how to distinguish them remains to be determined; The upper and lower links can be buckled with an answer or the upper and lower links can be buckled with their own answers; If the answers are deducted from the upper and lower couplets respectively, the number of words in the upper and lower couplets is required to be the same; Advocate the same riddle, but also allow different riddles, provided that the number of riddles is the same.

The antithetical couplet riddle (especially the lantern riddle, excluding the lantern riddle) is a relatively new riddle, and the related theories in the riddle field can not fully explain the new problems that appear constantly.
