The first stage: Use the method of searching for information to understand the origin, development, evolution, significance and prospects of the Olympic mascots, and establish a scientific research route.

The second stage: Determine the research focus according to the research route. Search online, borrow relevant books from the library, and collect the origins, symbols, meanings and mascots of the research topic to reflect the country's cultural background.

The third stage: further analysis of the background of the mascot and discussion of the mascot.

The first phase: 1-2 weeks, specific time from February 27th to March 5th

Feng Xueqiang and Huang Aihua searched for relevant information online, mainly on NetEase, Sina, Sohu and other websites, and searched for the symbolic meanings of the 2008 Olympic mascot candidate images, etc., and downloaded and organized them.

Wang Qionggu, Song Xiuhui, and Wang Fang went to Xinhua Bookstore, Wenji Bookstore, and Zengzhi Bookstore to borrow information, search for relevant information about the 2008 Olympic Games, and make notes.

The information obtained was compiled and preserved by Wang Caiming and Cai Jindeng.
