What does CX300 mean?
CX300 refers to CX330, which was first discovered by NASA's Chandra X-ray telescope. This star was born 654.38 million years ago, not even as long as human history. But it is experiencing a spurt of growth. With its rapid growth, the material ejected from the inside is entering the surrounding gas and dust.

This lone star is similar to the rich Orion that broke out between 1936 and 1937, but CX330 is more compact, hotter and larger.

Formation principle: Stars like CX330 are very rare. Astronomers have only found 10 stars so far, all of which are located in the star-forming region. Usually, every star needs to constantly absorb the gas and dust in the surrounding area during its formation. What puzzles astronomers is that CX330 is more than 1000 light-years away from the nearest star-forming region. They think that this star may show different star formation mechanisms.
