The applicant shall list the goods or services to which the trademark application applies, classify the goods or services involved according to the international classification standard of Nice Classification, and fill in the classification results in the application form for trademark registration.
Step 2 submit an application
Starting from 20 17 10 16, registration applications can only be submitted online with the help of simple and quick tools provided by the French State Industrial Property Office. The French State Industrial Property Office can provide online help to ensure payment security.
3. The French State Industrial Property Office issued a receipt.
The French State Industrial Property Office will send a receipt to the applicant by email. The document will indicate the application date and application number of the trademark, which will be used repeatedly in future communication with the French State Industrial Property Office.
4. Apply for a public trademark
The French State Industrial Property Office will publicly apply in its industrial property bulletin within six weeks.
Step 5 review
The French State Industrial Property Office will review the application materials, such as whether there is a logo, whether the application form is complete, whether to pay fees, etc. The trademark application may be rejected or requested to be amended.
6. Publicly registered trademarks
Once the review procedure is completed, the French State Industrial Property Office will publish the registered trademark on BOPI within the shortest five months. After that, the French State Industrial Property Office will send the trademark registration certificate to the applicant.
