What are the similarities between brands and trademarks?
Trademarks can be the same as long as they are not on similar goods or service providers.

Typical examples are Dove Dove, a trademark used in chocolate. Everybody knows that.

But the same English trademark Dove Dove is used in toiletries (shampoo, shower gel). The above two trademarks can coexist because they are on different products. If the products are the same, they cannot be registered at the same time.
