What are the types of trademark licensing contracts?
Trademark license contract A trademark license contract refers to a contract in which a trademark owner pays a fee to a licensee and permits others to use his registered trademark. The trademark owner or its authorized person is the licensor and the other party is the licensee. After the trademark licensing contract comes into effect, the licensor does not lose the trademark right and remains the owner of the registered trademark. The object of a trademark license contract is the "right to use" of a registered trademark, not the "ownership", which is the difference between a trademark license and a trademark transfer contract. Trademark license contract type 1. The registrant of a specially licensed trademark licenses the registered trademark to only one licensee at the agreed time, place and manner, and the trademark registrant may not use the registered trademark as agreed; 2. The registered trademark registrant shall license the registered trademark to only one licensee within the agreed time limit, area and method. A trademark registrant may use the registered trademark in accordance with the agreement, but may not permit others to use the registered trademark alone. 3. General use license A general use license means that a trademark registrant authorizes others to use its registered trademark within the agreed time limit, region and manner, and can use the registered trademark by himself or authorize others to use its registered trademark.
