In 1954, Gao'an Branch of the then China Trading Company established Gao'an County Yuba Factory (a local state-owned enterprise) based on Xinglong Yuba Fang, and Junyang Town Tofu Society (a town-run enterprise) was established from Junyang Town. After more than a thousand years of individual tofu and yuba production scattered among the people, an organized and planned professional production enterprise was established. Gao'an Bean Curd Factory has recruited masters from Gao'an who make bean curd, tempeh, vermicelli, and fermented bean curd to join the factory as masters. These masters use the ancestral yuba production craftsmanship to lead their apprentices to process and produce about 20 tons of yuba a year. In 1958, Gao'an Yuba Factory moved to No. 184 Jinshui Road. After that, the Yuba Factory continued to expand its production scale and improve its production techniques. By the 1970s, its annual output reached 200 tons, and its sales were throughout Jiangxi Province. In the early 1980s, Gao'an Yuzhu Factory expanded its production scale and made further improvements and improvements. They combined traditional handicrafts with machinery, established large workshops, and used mechanized grinding, shaking, and steam burning to expose the pulp. Leather, steam baking and other industrial scale production. In 1985, Gao'an Yuba Factory registered the trademark of Gao'an Yuba as "Daguanlou". This trademark has been used ever since and was rated as a "Chinese Time-honored Brand" by the state in the revitalization of time-honored brands project.
By 2006, there were 18 leading yuba production companies in the city, with an annual production capacity of more than 10,000 tons. In the peak season, more than 60 tons of soybeans are processed per day, and in the off-season, it is generally around 25 tons. In 2004, the city's yuba production and sales volume was 6,500 tons, achieving sales revenue of 65 million yuan, tax revenue of 4.08 million yuan, and profit of 7.03 million yuan.
Gao'an yuba is generally praised by consumers in domestic and foreign markets for its excellent quality. The products have been enduring for a long time. During the peak sales season, the supply of products exceeds demand. Product sales methods include wholesale, retail, and order financing as the main means. Sales coverage mainly covers more than 20 provinces and cities including Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Fujian, Beijing, Hebei, Henan, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Jilin, Sichuan, Guangdong, Hainan, Hong Kong, Xinjiang, etc. Entering the international market, some products have been sold to the United States, Kuwait and other countries.
