The tea is really delicious. "Cha Yan Yuese", a local tea brand established in Changsha in 2013, has taken the tea market by storm because it focuses on Chinese tea drinking style. Adhering to the "steady and steady" marketing attitude, it has opened more than 140 offline directly-operated stores in Changsha alone, and is as famous as Changsha stinky tofu and has become a new landmark of Changsha food.
Case Overview:
In May 2019, Guangzhou Luoqi Company, the exclusive owner of the registered trademark "Cha Yan Guan Se", claimed Changsha's "Cha Yan Yuese" trademark infringement. Filed a lawsuit with the People's Court of Yuelu District, Changsha City, requesting the court to order the "Cha Yan Yuese" trademark registrant Hunan Chayue Catering Management Co., Ltd. and its authorized users to compensate them for various losses of 210,000 yuan. Bo, Dianping and Meituan issued apology statements to eliminate the negative impact.
On the afternoon of April 8, 2020, the Yuelu District Court heard the case in public at the first instance and pronounced a verdict in court: rejecting all Luoqi Company’s claims.
