Plants are the original rulers of the earth and the oldest air purifiers.
One evening, while watering the flowers, I accidentally saw a "little green" on the corner of the wall. At first I thought it was a trademark stuck on it, but when I took a closer look I realized it was a small bean sprout growing out of the sewer. I was very surprised: Isn’t this the dried mung beans I accidentally dropped when I was doing a science experiment assigned by school a few days ago! Surprisingly, it actually sprouted tiny buds from the slippery, dark sewer. My curiosity forced me to squat down and observe the little bean sprouts quietly. Its petite stem grew straight, and there were no leaves on the stem. The stem was tender green, and the two beans on the stem were white. Flawless, if you look carefully you will find many tiny hairs on the surface of the stem. I took a flashlight, lay on the ground and shined it into the sewer. Under the light, I saw a medium-sized brick with its corners gently embracing this little life. It no longer needs the help of the brick horns. Its roots have penetrated deeply into the cracks of the bricks, and it "stands" on its own strength. It is like a child learning to walk, growing crazily in order to see the sun; now, it is like a primary school student, trying to climb up along the cracks in the wall to get more warmth. It proved to me that the vitality of plants is powerful. As long as there is water, the seeds will sprout and grow, grow, and grow.
When I was looking at the photo, I saw me growing watermelons on my balcony. That was the first "huge" plant I planted on my balcony. Because it started to grow desperately as soon as it sprouted, and in less than a week it had taken over all the wire mesh on my balcony, and its emerald green leaves shone in the sunlight. The bright and beautiful yellow watermelon flowers bloomed in about half a month. Seeing the watermelon flowers blooming in the sun is like seeing big watermelons lying on the balcony basking in the sun. I was very busy during the days when the watermelons were blooming. Every day when I got up, I had to fight those nasty ant legions. In order to prevent the watermelon flowers from being eaten and bitten by the ants, I sprayed them with a water sprayer almost every time I had time. Ants, keeping them away from the watermelon flowers. However, in the end, I was still no match for thousands of ants. These ant armies attacked my watermelon flowers while I was sleeping. I tried my best to save the last watermelon flower, and soon the watermelon flower produced a small watermelon. The little watermelon keeps growing. I go to see this only little watermelon every day, for fear that something will go wrong. My second aunt happened to come to my house to play with her little brother at this time. As soon as my brother saw the small watermelon, he picked it off and played with it. When I came home from school and saw that the only small watermelon was picked by my younger brother, I put down my schoolbag and immediately took back the small watermelon. I rushed back to the room and closed the door. I held the small watermelon in the room and cried bitterly, because I had grown up in the past few months. All the efforts were in vain. I took a few photos of the little watermelon as a souvenir, and I still have them.
