What documents are needed for customs clearance in Iraq now?
At present, there are two customs clearance modes commonly used in Iraq: duty-paid import and duty-free import.

The information needed for tax payment and import is relatively simple, such as a bill of lading (just wire it) and a list of goods. The consignee of the bill of lading needs to be an agent company. The normal customs clearance time is 5-7 days.

The materials required for duty-free import are complicated, including original bill of lading, packing list, invoice (embassy certification), certificate of origin (embassy certification), duty-free contract, etc. The consignee of the bill of lading needs to be the final consignee and the notifier is the customs clearance agent. The consignee needs to cooperate with the agent to handle tax exemption authorization and other documents. The normal customs clearance time is 7- 10 days.
