Sanhua plum is native to Sanhua Village, Longxian Town, wengyuan county, and it is recorded in Weng Yuan Zhi, Shao Zhou Fu Zhi and Ci Hai of Qing Jiaqing. It blooms and bears fruit in early spring every year, and matures around the "summer solstice". Sanhua plum is big in fruit, thick in meat, slag-free, small in stone, sweet, crisp and with a special aromatic smell, rich in vitamins and appropriate amount of sugar, and is known as "the king of Lingnan good fruit and summer". In 1986, it won the title of "Famous and Excellent Variety" at the Guangdong Fruit Tasting Conference, and in 1987, it was rated as one of the top ten excellent and rare fruits in Guangdong Province, which was deeply loved by people at home and abroad. This year, Sanhua Plum was approved as an export product by Shaoguan Quality Supervision Bureau, and was approved by China Green Food Development Center, which met the A-level standard of green food, was recognized as an A-level product of green food, and was allowed to use the green food logo.
There are many kinds of Sanhua plums, among which Jima Plum and Honey Plum have the best flavor. Sanhua plum ripens in awn and summer solstice, which is the off-season fruit of the city.
