Five steps for FSC certification for printing and packaging, timber and other enterprises

The first step is to consult one or more FSC-approved certification agencies. (Professional formal certification company)

The second step is to select the certification agency to cooperate with and sign an agreement with it.

The third step is to conduct a certification audit to evaluate the company’s certification conditions. The basic conditions for FSC certification generally include four points:

1. Accept and implement the "FSC Principles and Standards" and related standard documents formulated by the Forest Stewardship Council as required;

2. Engage in Processing or trading of forest products;

3. A unit with independent accounting and operation;

4. Raw materials can be purchased from FSC-certified FSC materials.

In this process, the company will conduct an assessment under the arrangement of the FSC certification agency. The main contents include: 1. Product identification; 2. Product separation (certified and non-certified raw materials); 3. Establishment of files. (Including records); 4. Training and staff information; 5. Selection of suitable systems for the company; 6. Confirmation of product groups; 7. Correct use of FSC logos and trademarks.

The fourth step is to collect audit data and form an audit report.

The fifth step is to obtain the FSC certificate and register the logo.
