Introduction to Maogong Mountain Scenic Area:
Maogongshan, formerly known as Guobao, is 70 kilometers away from Sanya. It is located in the national insurance farm of Ledong County. It is about 4 kilometers long, with undulating peaks. A granite mountain with a length of about 65,438+0,000m stands out in the middle, resembling the head of the late leader Mao Zedong. It is said that it was first discovered by a farm cadre. It was sunset in the afternoon, and he happened to see the mountain like a portrait of the chairman lying down. So people come to see it, and everyone who sees it is very touched. So the news spread, and later the relevant leaders of Hainan made a special trip to see it, which was also amazing. So they reported it to the Central Committee of * * *, and Kong Linghua, the son-in-law of Chairman Mao and CoCo Lee's husband, personally came to see it. As soon as he saw it, he knelt down crying. Originally, the central government strictly controlled the use of Chairman Mao's name, and this time it made an exception and agreed to name this mountain Maogong Mountain.
More coincidentally, the place names around Maogong Mountain have a strong color of the times. Their county is called Ledong County, and their farm is called Guobao Farm. There is a Miao village in the east of the mountain, a Li village called Jiefang village in the west of the mountain, and two Han villages in the south and north of the mountain respectively.
Imitating the layout of Tiananmen Square, Guobao Farm built a viewing platform, a monument and a worship hall at the most suitable viewing position in front of Maogong Mountain. When we arrived, there were no tourists, so it was very quiet. The observation deck is modeled after Tiananmen Gate. Inscriptions from all walks of life in politics and business are hung on the first floor, as well as photos and historical materials introducing Chairman Mao's life. The second floor is the observation deck, which is an excellent scenic spot. This monument imitates the Monument to the People's Heroes. It is located in the center of the scenic spot, with the Maoshan Monument written on it, and the worship hall is in the easternmost part. The architectural shape is the same as that of Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, with a bust of Chairman Mao and portraits of horses, grace, columns and horses hanging on the four walls.
The local people sell photos by the monument, and two of them are very special.
