See how to tell the difference between energy-saving lamps.
Energy-saving lamps are more and more popular with consumers because of their obvious energy-saving effect, long service life, no stroboscopic effect, no noise, soft light and wide working voltage range. At present, there are many energy-saving lamps on the market, and the quality is mixed. How to choose the products you are satisfied with in the dazzling array of energy-saving lamps in the lamp shop? The advantages and disadvantages of energy-saving lamps can be identified by "seven looks", as follows.

Brand store: NVC lighting

Look at the packaging and trademarks.

The state requires energy-saving lamp products to be marked with the following contents on the outer packaging: source standard, rated voltage, voltage range, rated power and rated frequency. Mark the lamp current and other supplementary instructions related to safe use on the lamp, package or user manual. Generally speaking, the trademark printing quality of high-quality products is good, the font is clear, it is not easy to fall off, it is wiped with a soft wet cloth, the logo is clear and identifiable, and it is not easy to erase, and there are manufacturer's trademarks and related certification marks. The printing quality of fake and shoddy products is poor, the fonts are fuzzy and easy to erase, and there are no manufacturer's trademarks and related certification marks. Second, look at the quality of plastic parts.

The plastic shell of energy-saving lamps must be made of flame-retardant engineering plastics, which has the advantages of heat resistance, flame retardancy, good electrical insulation, high hardness, good rigidity, crack resistance, easy printing, whiteness and no discoloration. Disadvantages: the cost is slightly more expensive. Ordinary plastics are prohibited in the production of energy-saving lamps. The fake and shoddy products are made of middle and low grade plastics, which are not up to the standard in heat resistance and flame retardancy, and are fragile, easy to crack, yellow and fade, which has potential safety hazards.

Third, look at the appearance of the lamp.

Compared with many lamps, most of them are mass-produced products, with good consistency in appearance and size and guaranteed quality. At the same time, there must be no cracks and looseness in the shell, and there must be no traces of being pried at the seal. During installation and disassembly, the lamp holder should not be loose or inclined.

Brand Store: Philips Lighting

Fourth, look at the fluorescent powder of the lamp.

High-quality products coated with rare earth tricolor phosphors have high luminous efficiency, high color rendering index, good thermal stability, small light attenuation caused by 185nm ultraviolet rays and long service life. A high-quality energy-saving lamp is equivalent to three to eight inferior energy-saving lamps, but the price is high. Fake and shoddy products coated with halogen powder or rare earth tricolor phosphor mixed with halogen powder have lower luminous efficiency by 30% than rare earth tricolor phosphor, lower color rendering index, poor thermal stability, serious light decay and short life, and are particularly unsuitable for thin tube fluorescent lamps.

The identification method is as follows:

1, the light shines on the palm: let the light of the energy-saving lamp shine on the palm. If the palm looks ruddy and bloody, it is a tricolor energy-saving lamp; If it looks blue and bloodless, it is halogen powder energy-saving lamp.

2, look at the lighting time method: if it is lit for a few minutes, it can reach normal brightness, both bright and soft, which is a tricolor energy-saving lamp; If once electrified, the brightness reaches the peak, the brightness is low, the light color is blue, and it looks pale and weak, so it is a halogen powder lamp.

Fifth, look at the quality of electronic ballasts.

High-quality products are produced by reasonable circuit design and high-quality electronic components. When working, they have low calorific value, high power factor, low harmonic content, basically no electromagnetic interference to electrical equipment, high design working frequency, basically reaching the level of no strobe power supply, and protecting consumers' vision and health. In order to save production cost, fake and inferior products are produced by outsourcing inferior electronic ballasts. The quality cannot be guaranteed, and the failure rate is high, which may seriously lead to safety problems such as fire.

Look at the temperature at work.

The temperature rise of energy-saving lamps should be very low under normal working conditions. Otherwise, the life of energy-saving lamps is very short. At the same time, when the energy-saving lamp is lit, both ends of the lamp tube are black, and the filament is red or shiny, indicating that the energy-saving lamp has quality problems.

Seventh, look at entrepreneurial performance.

If there is a voltage regulator at the time of purchase, first adjust the voltage regulator to 150V or the lowest starting voltage value in the manual when the power is cut off, install the energy-saving lamp naturally, keep your hands and body away from the lamp, and it is best to light it once when connecting the power supply. Because energy-saving lamps have two characteristics: first, the higher the temperature, the easier it is to start; Second, it is easy to start under the condition of human body induction. In addition, it is worth mentioning that many energy-saving lamps light up as soon as they are turned on, which is not good for the life of light bulbs. The filament preheating circuit should be installed inside the energy-saving lamp, and the delay time is about 0.4 seconds.
