Liu Junchen, deputy director of the State Intellectual Property Office, said at the forum that in terms of strengthening the protection of exclusive rights to trademarks, it is necessary to move forward the monitoring and protection of trademarks and severely crack down on malicious trademark registrations. Increase the protection of well-known trademarks, geographical indications, foreign-related trademarks, time-honored trademarks, etc., and focus on cracking down on trademark infringements. Strictly crack down on unfair competition and other illegal activities of trademark agencies, standardize the order of the agency industry, and improve the service capabilities and levels of the industry.

Statistics from the industrial and commercial department show that the number of trademark registration applications in my country last year was 5.748 million, a year-on-year increase of approximately 55%. Liu Junchen said that my country will continue to promote the openness and sharing of trademark data, further shorten the trademark registration review cycle to six months by the end of this year, and open all trademark data to the public before the end of the year.
