Introduction to "Project Hope"
Project Hope is a social welfare undertaking initiated and organized by the China Youth Development Foundation to serve the growth of young people. Its purpose is to implement the government's policy on raising education funds through multiple channels, mobilize private financial resources at home and abroad to establish funds, help out-of-school teenagers in poor areas of my country continue their studies, protect the right of school-age teenagers to receive compulsory education, and improve school running conditions in poor areas. Since its launch in May 1992, the Guangdong Hope Project has received support from enthusiastic people from all walks of life and has achieved gratifying results. So far, Project Hope in Guangdong Province has raised a total of more than 180 million yuan, subsidized 98,868 children from needy families, subsidized 638 college students in need, and assisted in the construction of 372 hope primary schools. The scale of fundraising and funding is at the forefront of the country.

Currently, there are many orphans and children from single-parent families in Guangdong who need financial aid every year. Basic education conditions in remote mountainous areas still need to be improved, such as Pearl River, Beijiang, Dongjiang and Xijiang. The Han River and other river basins still need to be rectified and urgently await the support and help of enthusiastic people from all walks of life.
