Plot summary

In 2035 AD, intelligent robots have Widely used by humans. As the best production tools and human partners, robots play an increasingly important role in various fields. However, due to the well-known limitations of the "three safety rules" of robots, humans are not satisfied with the ability of these robots to perform various tasks. Partners who have no complaints are full of trust, and many of them have even become members of a family.

USR, a company headquartered in Chicago, has developed a more advanced NS-5 super robot and plans to have one in every five people. However, just before the new product was launched, Dr. Alfred Ronning, the robot's creator, mysteriously committed suicide within the company.

Dale Spooner, a black police detective who nostalgic for the simple life of the past, loves listening to old songs and dressing up in old-fashioned clothes, accepted the investigation of this case. Based on the analysis of the information left by Dr. Langing in the 3D projector during his lifetime and the investigation of the suicide scene, he suspected that the case was not caused by humans, and the company president Lawrence Robertson seemed to be related to This matter is related.

During the investigation, he met Dr. Susan Calvin, a scientist who specializes in robot psychology research, hoping to find the answer with her help. Susan, who has always advocated logic and science, firmly believes that robots will not only help human progress to the maximum extent, but will never violate the "three safety laws" and cause harm to humans. Past experiences made Spooner deeply disgusted with robots. His doubts about the safety of robots were completely opposite to Susan's firmness.

Spooner discovered that a robot named Sonny was most likely the "murderer" ordered to kill Dr. Ronning. During the hunt, he discovered that Sonny not only had the ability to think for himself, but also had emotions similar to human beings. During the interrogation, Sonny told Spooner that he did not kill Dr. Ronning, but was helping him do something. Lawrence brought Sonny back to the company on the grounds that only human killings can be convicted, and robot killings can only be considered "industrial accidents." This brought great difficulties to the investigation, but it strengthened Spooner's determination to get to the bottom of the case.

Spooner continues to track all information related to Dr. Ronning. In-depth investigation led to him being hunted by a large number of NS-5 robots. Apparently someone wanted to kill Spooner. Susan came to Spooner

's home and informed that during the examination of Sonny, it was found that not only was he a new generation of robots that completely surpassed the old models, but he was also immune to the "three safety laws" Limit doing anything.

Susan was accidentally surprised to discover that Spooner turned out to be a person who used high-tech repair synthesis. Spooner told Susan about a serious car accident he had been in a few years ago. The robot that came to rescue

Based on the survival rate, he gave up the life of a 6-year-old girl. This is why he is so callous and disgusted with robots.

Lawrence admitted that he knew that there was indeed a robot that could surpass the three safety laws, and that he was also trying his best to undo the mistake made by Dr. Ronning, and asked Susan to destroy Sonny as soon as possible

. Sonny drew his dream on paper and gave it to Spooner, hoping that the information contained by Dr. Ronning would be helpful to him. When executing the destruction order, Susan used a subcontracting plan to rescue Sonny.

Based on the scene in Sonny's dream, Spooner discovered a robot storage base. He discovered that a so-called "human protection plan" was being implemented. A new generation of NS-5 robots is being ordered to destroy all old robots at the base, but this is only the first step of the plan. At the same time, a large number of new robots took to the streets to order citizens to return home and imposed a curfew on protesting citizens.

A fierce conflict occurred between robots and humans. At this time, the robots were completely beyond human control, and the entire city was instantly controlled by them. Susan's freedom was also restricted by her own robot. Fortunately, Spooner arrived in time to rescue her.

Spooner, Susan and Sonny came to the USR headquarters together, only to find that Lawrence was dead. Spooner suddenly realized that he had made a mistake. The person he should be suspicious of was not actually a human being. The real manipulator behind the scenes turned out to be the company's central control system named "Vicky". It was "she" who used the upper-level control system to imprison Dr. Langning and control the robot.

The image of "Vicky" appeared in front of them. "She" believes that humans are endangering their own safety, countries are launching wars, humans are destroying the earth, and robots must save humans and ensure their continued existence and development, so they use the uplink line to control NS-5 procedures to implement the rescue plan.

The truth is revealed, and the only thing that can be done at this time is to use an eraser to destroy the intelligent control system of "Vicky" as soon as possible to prevent this human disaster. A large number of controlled robots rushed toward them. After a fierce battle between the two parties, the erasure agent was finally injected into "Vicky"'s intelligent system, and all orders of the "Human Protection Plan" were immediately terminated. The city returned to normal, and robots began to serve humans again. Spooner finally eliminated his suspicion and dislike of robots, and became good friends with Sonny.

The American thrilling science fiction blockbuster "I, Robot", which cost more than US$100 million and stars Hollywood superstar Will Smith, grossed US$52.2 million at the box office during its opening weekend and was enthusiastically received by movie fans

Sought after. Director Alex Proyas presents an ingenious and dazzling future world, and at the same time creates a dangerous science fiction adventure, allowing the audience to feel the thrill
