How to clean the top of the air fryer

Just wipe the top of the air fryer with a clean wet wipe. As long as we take care of it regularly, there will be no stubborn dirt. If there are stubborn stains, you can use baking soda and water to clean them.

Here’s how to clean an air fryer:

Unplug the appliance, then take some newspaper and clump it into a ball. This product can be easily wiped down from the inside out. This will remove a lot of the oily residue. Next, use a disinfectant wipe or Magic Eraser to wipe down the outside of the device. This wiping will remove any remaining oil and dust. Don't worry about wiping down the inside with a wipe or magic eraser. We'll deal with internal issues in the next steps.

Remove the pans and baskets (some models also have a cleanable tray) and wash them. You can usually put these two items in the dishwasher, but check your manual just in case. If they are dishwasher safe, place them on the top rack during the normal cycle. To hand wash, let pots and baskets soak in warm water with a few drops of dish soap. Then wipe them with a sponge or rag and rinse with warm water. Set the pot and basket aside to dry.

Wipe the inside: When they are dry, use a magic wipe or sanitizing wipe to clean the heating elements and areas where the baskets and pans are. You can also clean these areas with hot water and a cleaning cloth. Just make sure you don't use a detergent that requires rinsing, since you can't hold your air fryer under running water and wiping everything down with a damp cloth "rinsing" won't remove all detergent residue.
