Edifier S2000MKII maintains almost the same appearance as S1000. When people see the name S2000MKII, they seem to be more sensitive than when they see S1000, because many users use S2000MKII and the old S2000 contrast. Compared with the S2000, which had a square shape and multiple layers of paint, the S2000MKII naturally has a different style. However, compared to the S1000, Edifier has been kind enough to upgrade its appearance and configuration.

The wooden boards on both sides of the S2000MKII are made of solid wood materials with a thickness of 18mm. Compared with the compression boards of the S1000, the cost naturally increases a lot. From the actual look and feel, the grain and texture of solid wood are still slightly better than S1000. Compared with S1000, S2000MKII has also improved the four foot pads at the bottom of the speaker, which are slightly improved in terms of aesthetics and buffering function. As a digital power amplifier speaker, it needs to perform the ADC link, and the input signal voltage must also be considered. ADC signal overflow problem when high. S2000MKII supports both optical fiber and coaxial inputs. This set of inputs can finally support 24bit/192kHz signals. In fact, the internal chip has not changed, but for some reason the previous R2000DB and S1000 cannot support it. In terms of Bluetooth input, like the S1000, it uses a CSR8645 chip that can support APT-X encoding. Judging from the products we have used, APT-X encoding can improve significantly better resolution than without APT-X, but the bottleneck of Bluetooth compared to wired input is still very large.
