Beijing Red Lion Paint Co., Ltd. was inherited from the royal paint workshop of the Qing Dynasty more than 200 years ago. Because it was used by the royal family, the stone lion of the Forbidden City was chosen as the trademark. Because most royal buildings are precious in purple, it was named "Red Lion". In 1945, General Fu Zuoyi transformed the workshop into the "Struggle Paint Factory". After the founding of New China, Red Lion was one of the first batch of key industrial enterprises in New China and was renamed "New China Paint Factory". It is affiliated to the Enterprise Affairs Administration Bureau of the State Council. After several vicissitudes of change, in November 2008, China Paint Xinrui Fusi Special Paint (Beijing) Co., Ltd. completed the capital injection and restructuring of Red Lion.
A century of Red Lion, a century of wind and rain, a century of accumulation, Red Lion has made great contributions to China's coatings industry. First of all, Red Lion is the cradle of the paint industry in New China. It has cultivated generations of paint giants including Mr. Zhu Chuanqi, Duan Zhimei, and Huang Zhixiang; it has developed and produced batches of groundbreaking products. Secondly, Red Lion is a national-level large-scale comprehensive modern paint enterprise. Red Lion products have long been widely used in aerospace, military industry, automobiles, infrastructure, petroleum and petrochemicals, railway machinery, light industrial home appliances, steel coils and other fields. From "Shenzhou 1" to "Shenzhou 6", from military vehicles to Olympic projects, Red Lion people can often be seen busy in large-scale national projects. Red Lion products have won the National Silver Award twice, the Ministry of Chemical Industry Quality Product Award six times, and the Beijing Quality Product Award thirty times.
