How to remove the faucet in the bathroom

1. Preparation

Close the water inlet valve first. The water inlet valve is located under the kitchen countertop. If the valve is not closed tightly or cannot be closed, it can be operated with water. However, during installation, the new faucet must be prepared by winding 7-8 turns with a raw material tape in the direction of the thread (less winding will lead to water leakage), and a large bucket should be prepared under the water pipe. Receive water to prevent waste; in addition, when the valve cannot be closed, be sure to open a new faucet and other faucets to divert water and reduce pressure to prepare.

2. Disassemble the faucet

Separate the water inlet pipe and hose. First use a wrench to separate the water inlet pipe and hose. The water inlet pipe in the bathroom is an open pipe that can be shaken by hand. There is a risk of accidentally breaking it when disassembling it. So when disassembling, be very careful. Hold the water pipe with your left hand and twist the wrench with your right hand to separate the two easily.

3. Separate the faucet and basin

Remove the fixing part of the faucet so that the faucet can be removed from the basin. But then something went wrong. The hose of the faucet has been used for a long time, so the hose has become brittle, and the fasteners are rusted, making it impossible to unscrew it with a wrench.

4. Use a saw to cut off the joint. Because the space under the basin is small, it is difficult to operate. Moreover, the glass glue between the basin and the countertop has long since expired, so the basin can be easily removed from the countertop. Once the basin is removed, construction will be out of the way. Then use a saw to cut off the rusted and difficult-to-remove parts, and the faucet was successfully disassembled.
