The vinyl group in methylvinylpyrrolidone silane can also be used as an activation point for the vulcanization reaction, which can promote the cross-linking of polydimethylsiloxane to generate high molecular weight elastomers. Since the pyrrolidone group and the hydroxyl group react very slowly at room temperature, the compound after adding each component and mixing has a longer pot life.
