Any industry will have off-season and peak season. Below I will share with you the 7 major measures necessary for jewelry sales in the off-season. Welcome to read.
Measures for jewelry sales in the off-season
Jewelry sales in the off-season 1. Product updates
Many stores believe that with the arrival of the off-season, there will be less customer flow, and they will pay less attention to the timely delivery of goods. New products, or even a style left in the window for two weeks without being updated, will directly affect the rate of customers entering the store. Stores should keep styles constantly updated and stick to small quantities and multiple styles. This move can not only attract customers' attention, increase sales, but also strengthen the brand image.
2. Activate employee status during the low season for jewelry sales
Employees just arrived at the company in the morning and immediately went to work, showing that they were in poor condition and lazy. The correct approach should be to have a morning meeting every day before work. It not only assigns daily work goals, but also uses dance to adjust the status of employees, so that employees can get rid of sleepiness and be in a passionate working atmosphere from the beginning. .
Jewelry sales off-season 3. Incentive sales
Due to the low customer flow, jewelry consultants are generally lazy and unmotivated. Even if they are interested in customers coming to make selections, they are still affected by the status of the employees. Affected and lose the desire to buy. At this time, you might as well use increased rewards to enhance employees' sales passion, so that employees will be more motivated to attract customers and serve customers, thereby increasing sales.
4. Innovative marketing models during the off-season for jewelry sales
In the off-season, the business of various stores is not ideal, so they have come up with discounts to attract customers. Looking around, the whole street is filled with the same discounts and promotions, without any new ideas, which makes consumers feel numb. In fact, unique promotional activities can win the favor of consumers.
Jewelry sales off-season 5. Cross-industry alliances
If your store’s performance is not good, what about the clothes and bags next door? There is always one product that attracts customers. Customers who buy clothes at his store and then buy them at your store can enjoy a 20% discount, or even a higher discount. Will customers still be unsatisfied? The store's purchase rate can be quietly increased without the customers knowing it.

When the passenger flow is low, employees should be familiar with the goods and conduct simulation drills. For example, all employees are grouped together to try on items, and the item numbers, prices, current stock sizes, and number of pieces are recorded. It can not only sort out the product categories, but also analyze the people and body types suitable for different styles, deepen the familiarity with the products, and become more comfortable when trying on customers.
7. VIP maintenance during the off-season for jewelry sales
In addition, when the customer flow is low, personnel can also be assigned to inventory and sort out the customer information of the store, and target existing old customers. Return visits and collecting customers' suggestions and opinions can not only enhance the relationship with VIP customers, but also prepare for future sales. Key points of jewelry appraisal
Transparency and color
In order to gradually narrow down the list of minerals that may be suspected in the appraiser's mind, among the above twenty-five or so minerals, they are divided according to transparency. For transparency, they are divided into two categories: transparent and opaque; according to color, they are divided into colorless, red---pink, blue--purple, green, yellow, brown---orange, etc. Don't. Identification can be based on the transparency and color of the unknown ore or finished product, and check the corresponding identification form. For example, opaque jewelry that has two different shades of green bands is almost certainly one of the following: malachite, dyed agate, dyed striped marble, green fiberite, glass, or plastic.
Therefore, the transparency and color of unknown jewelry are of special importance to appraisers. It should be noted that a magnifying glass and condenser penlight are indispensable when making naked eye observations.
Refractive index
This is the second step of observation. Its purpose is to narrow down the number of suspect minerals after estimating the refractive index range of the jewelry being tested. The appraiser can roughly estimate the refractive index range of the mineral from the luster. The stronger the luster, the higher the refractive index. The refractive index of jewelry with diamond luster exceeds the highest range of the refractometer scale (1.80); while the refractive index of jewelry with glass luster is between 1.8---1.5. Compared with jewelry with known refractive index, the similarity of luster can quickly help appraisers classify unknown jewelry according to refractive index or luster. Jewelry with a waxy or greasy luster generally has a poor polished surface, and a silky luster indicates that there may be a lot of true inclusions.
Color brightness
Jewelry colors vary between bright and dull. For identification purposes, the brightness of the color is artificially divided into three levels: bright, medium and dark. For example, the only gems that appear bright green are emeralds, jadeites, and demantoid garnets; dyed or backgrounded combination gemstones. When the flat top of a transparent flat gemstone is turned downward on white paper, if a red ring appears around the girdle of the gemstone, it indicates a double assembly with a garnet as the top. The red flash from the deep-toned vivid sapphire can be thought of as a synthetic spinel or zoisite variant of tanzanite.
Dispersion
The purpose of this observation step is to observe some jewelry and substitutes with strong dispersion (dazzling, flashing) with the naked eye, such as diamonds, zircon, sphene, Demantoid garnet, rutile, synthetic rutile, titanite (titanate gill) and certain types of glass are distinguished from other jewelry.
Cleavage
Only diamonds, topaz, spodumene and feldspar have obvious cleavage.
Specific gravity
Beginners should often practice weighing specific gravity by hand. The method is to weigh minerals with known specific gravity by hand and compare them with unknown jewelry and minerals to obtain a basis for estimating the specific gravity range. If necessary, put it into the appropriate specific gravity liquid for actual measurement.
Double shadow
Using the naked eye or a low-power magnifying glass, you can see that there are double shadows (edges) at the adjacent joints (edges) of the corresponding facets of the gemstone. Examples with strong double shadow properties include: Stone, zircon, olivine, tourmaline, synthetic rutile.
Hardness
If the finished gemstone has rounded edges and polished differences, it indicates that its hardness is low. However, synthetic corundum and some other cheap materials can produce sub-grade polishing quality if polished too fast, and are also characterized by the generation of heat during the re-polishing process.
Pleochroism
When turning the gemstone, you can see the pleochroism with the naked eye. The raw stones with pleochroism include spodumene, andalusite, tourmaline, zircon, ruby, sapphire, Alexandrite. Rare gemstones include columnar spar, cordierite, zoisite, and epidote.
