Alignment refers to the horizontal arrangement of paragraph content between the left and right borders of a document. Word*** has five alignment methods: left alignment, right alignment, center alignment, both ends alignment and scattered alignment.
Left alignment is to align the left edge of a text paragraph;
Alignment means aligning the left and right edges of a text paragraph;
Similarities and differences between the two:
Both alignment methods are left alignment. Generally speaking, if there are too few words in the last line at the end of a paragraph, the effect of "alignment at both ends" in the last line is the same as that of "left alignment". Moreover, because our reading habits are basically from left to right, and the line endings in Chinese articles are different, we can't see the difference without paying attention, so people will think that the effect of "left alignment" and "two-end alignment" is the same.
In fact, there is a difference between the two. The right side of a "two-aligned" paragraph is also aligned, while the right side of a "left-aligned" paragraph is generally misaligned. Do an experiment: You enter a long English text in word and use two different alignment methods. Look closely, and you will find the difference between them.
Because generally speaking, we have such writing rules:
Most punctuation marks cannot be placed at the beginning of a line, such as a period. Question mark "?" Wait;
A string of characters (an English word, a string of numbers) cannot be separated or cut and put on two different lines;
Therefore, under such writing rules, we often encounter the situation that the number of words (characters) per line of an article is not equal. At this time, if the method of "left alignment" is adopted, the end of each line will be irregular, while if the method of "two ends alignment" is adopted, the redundant lines will be compressed and the reduced lines will be stretched, so that the right end of each line of the whole paragraph will also be aligned (except the last line), making the article look more beautiful.
In double-ended alignment, because the last line of each paragraph is usually shorter than other lines, the text will appear misaligned. To align the last line in a paragraph with a justified format, place the insertion point at the end of the last line, and then press Shift+Enter. Please note that if the aligned lines are short, large spaces will be inserted between words, which will make the lines look unsightly.
