How to distinguish the difference between imported food and imported health products?

Several common methods to identify the authenticity of imported health foods

Method 1: Look for the logo. One is the special symbol for health food - the little blue hat. It is printed on the upper left corner of the outer packaging box of the product; the second is the health food approval number. The imported health food approval number is marked below the little blue hat, such as the 4-digit year number and the 4-digit sequence number of the national food health J, the 4-digit year number ×××× of the health (in) food health; the third is laser anti-counterfeiting "CIQ" mark. "CIQ" is the abbreviation of "China Inspection and Quarantine". This anti-counterfeiting mark is uniformly affixed to imported foods that have passed inspection and quarantine.

Method 2: Verify the certificate. For formal imported health food, dealers must provide valid "Imported Food Hygiene Certificate" and "Imported Health Food Approval Certificate". The former is issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and the latter is approved by the State Food and Drug Administration. The two certificates indicate detailed information including the name of the imported health food product, country of production, production batch number, etc. Only if the goods certificate is consistent can it be proved that the health food is truly imported.

Method 3: Read the label instructions. The first is to see if the label instructions have standard Chinese and foreign language comparisons, and the Chinese font must be larger than the foreign font; the second is to see if the product indicates the country or region of origin and the name of the agent registered in China according to law

and address; third, check whether there are trademarks, product names, production dates, safe use periods or expiration dates and other domestic health product standard requirements.

Method 4: Check whether it has expired. Before July 1, 2005, the approval certificates of imported health foods approved by the State Food and Drug Administration and the Ministry of Health did not specify the validity period and were still valid. After July 1, 2005, for imported health foods approved by the State Food and Drug Administration, the approval certificate is valid for 5 years. If the approval number has expired and is still being used, it is a counterfeit and expired product.

Method 5: Search online. Log in to the health food query system on the website of the State Food and Drug Administration (www.sfda.gov.cn). All health foods can be found regardless of whether they have the word "healthy food and health" or the word "national food and health" (J). Check whether the product instructions, label contents, packaging markings, etc. are consistent with the contents of the approval certificate.
