It should be noted that this is not the first time that "Xiaomi Sanitary Ware" has been found to have substandard product quality. At the end of 2019, the State Administration for Market Regulation notified Xiaomi Sanitary Ware that two products were unqualified, namely "hand-operated toilet flush valve, toilet pressure flush valve" and "floor drain".

As a result, Xiaomi Group took "Xiaomi Sanitary Ware" to court. The Beijing Higher People's Court believed that "Xiaomi Sanitary Ware" company's behavior had disrupted the normal order of trademark registration management and was detrimental to fairness. The competitive market environment violates the principle of public order and good customs, and it is a case of obtaining registration through "other improper means". Xiaomi Group pointed out that as early as January 2018, Xiaomi declared invalid the company’s use of the MIUI trademark.

Recently, the court made a final judgment, finding that Xiaomi Sanitary Ware Company had applied to register a large number of trademarks in multiple categories of goods or services.
