Regular down jacket labels include: filling, fabric and lining, washing marks and safety technical requirements symbols.
1. Filling
Duck or goose is usually used as down, as well as some types of moths (because of their good thermal insulation effect) and chemical fiber products. The down filling and down content of regular brands of down jackets are very standard and clearly marked. On the contrary, in order to reduce costs, some small workshop manufacturers will use some of the above-mentioned inferior products to pass off as high quality to obtain huge profits.
2. Fabrics and linings
Usually made of polyester fiber, polyester or cotton. Some brands will also indicate that they use white fabrics or have a cotton content of more than 65%. As a good (single-layer down jacket), this kind of clothing is very windproof and waterproof and is very soft and comfortable.
3. Washing marks and safety technical requirements symbols
The contents of the qualified marks on the upper and lower sleeves should be completely consistent. This is an important point in distinguishing authenticity. The most easily overlooked place. These include the manufacturer's name, address, product name, specifications and models, materials, number of cleaning pieces, color, production date and shelf life, etc. The content must be clear and beautiful, as well as the relevant provisions of GB/T8624-97B level and the national mandatory standard GB18401 , must reach C level before it can be sold on the market.
How to identify the authenticity of down jackets:
1. Look at the down content on the label. Each type of down jacket has its down content standard, it’s just more or less. Generally, it must be above 80% to be qualified. If the velvet content on the label is less than this number, its warmth retention properties will be compromised.
2. Check whether it is velvet. Pat the stitches on the down jacket with your hands. If down comes out, there must be something wrong with the quality.
3. Touch the lining. You can pinch the lining of the down jacket. If it feels hard or prickly, it means there is a lot of down impurities inside, and the jacket is definitely not good.
4. If it is the same down jacket, we can also distinguish it by weighing it. The lighter the clothes, the better the quality.
