Kailuan Coal Mine is the earliest coal mine in China. Since 1878 established the first pair of mechanical lifting mines, it has been mining history of 100 years. At present, Kailuan Coal Mine * * * includes production mines 10, with more than127,000 employees, and the annual output of raw coal exceeds 20 million tons, making it the second largest coal mine in China after Shanxi Datong Mining Bureau. 1976 during the Tangshan earthquake, all the mines in Kailuan lost their drainage capacity due to power failure, and almost all the roadways and equipment were flooded. After the earthquake, in addition to rebuilding the original Linxi, Zhaogezhuang, Tangjiazhuang and Fangezhuang coal mines, Qianjiaying and Lujiatuo coal mines and two coal washing plants with an annual coal washing capacity of 4 million tons were also built. Among them, Qianjiaying Mine is a large coal mine with an annual output of 4 million tons, which was designed and built by China. Its coal washing plant is the largest in the Far East, and all the equipment is imported from Germany. Kailuan Coal Mine mainly produces fat coal, with an annual output of about160,000 tons, accounting for more than half of the national fat coal output. It is the largest fat coal production base in China.
