Among them, red wolfberry is one of the geographical indication products of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and one of the main agricultural products exported by Ningxia. Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, referred to as "Ning", is a provincial-level administrative region of the People's Republic of China, with its capital Yinchuan City, and one of the five major ethnic minority autonomous regions in China.

As of 2022, it has jurisdiction over 5 prefecture-level cities with a total area of ??66,400 square kilometers; as of the end of 2022, the permanent population is 7.28 million. In the 24th year of Yuan Dynasty (1287), Ningxia Fuxing Road was established, and Ningxia got its name from this. Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is one of the birthplaces of ancient civilization of the Chinese nation.

Human beings lived and multiplied here as early as the Paleolithic Age 30,000 years ago. Li Yuanhao, the leader of the Dangxiang tribe, established the Xixia Dynasty here and formed the Xixia culture. The Shuidonggou site in Ningxia is a site from the Paleolithic Age 30,000 years ago. Ningxia is also the Great Wall Museum of China. Ancient Great Wall ruins from the Great Wall of the Warring States Period to the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty are distributed in Ningxia.

Ningxia is also a red land, the meeting point of the Red Army’s Long March, and the site of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Revolution. It has both beautiful scenery and profound historical and cultural heritage. It has been known as the “fortress of Jiangnan” in ancient and modern times. In 2022, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region will achieve a GDP of 506.957 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 4%.

Topography:

Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has an altitude of 1100-1200 meters, and the terrain gradually slopes from southwest to northeast. The Yellow River enters from Zhongwei, runs diagonally across the plains to the northeast, and exits through Shizuishan along the terrain. The soil on the plain is deep, the terrain is flat, and the slope is moderate, making it easy to divert water and facilitate irrigation. Ningxia's landform is complex, with mountains and basins scattered across it.

It can be roughly divided into: Loess Plateau, Ordos Platform, alluvial plains and the north and south middle sections of Liupan Mountain, Luoshan Mountain and Helan Mountain. The average altitude is more than 1,000 meters. According to the surface characteristics, it can also be divided into the southern warm-temperate plain zone, the central mid-temperate semi-desert zone and the northern mid-temperate desert zone. From south to north, the whole area shows the characteristics of transition from flowing water landform to wind erosion landform.
