The town’s economy has developed rapidly in recent years. Especially since 2004, the town party committee and government have been guided by the Scientific Outlook on Development, with the goal of building a new socialist countryside, with the purpose of increasing farmers’ income, and increasing agricultural production. Structural adjustment will focus on developing industrial clusters and economies along the roads, further increasing economic strength.

In 2009, the town's main economic indicators were completed: GDP 618.1 million yuan, fixed asset investment 320.1 million yuan; fiscal revenue 68.02 million yuan; per capita net income of farmers 104.43 million yuan.

Golden jujube and winter jujube are the specialty products of Dafengdui Town. Jujube has the characteristics of high yield and strong adaptability. The fruit has thin skin, small core, excellent quality, and is rich in various vitamins and minerals. It is a superior fruit with high economic and nutritional value.

Winter jujube is one of my country’s famous and rare fruits. It is not only large, thin-skinned and juicy, but also has tender and crispy flesh. The average fruit weight is 17.5g and the sugar content is as high as 34.7-37.4.

During the Ming Dynasty, it was used as a tribute to the emperor, so it was also called "tribute jujube". In 2005, it was approved and registered by the Tianjin Industrial and Commercial Bureau and obtained the "Ruifeng brand" SOD winter jujube trademark.
