Look at the seal. The long edges of authentic cigarettes are evenly sealed and show fine water ripples, which are shrinkage textures formed by the transparent cigarette paper being heated under relatively constant pressure and temperature. Counterfeit cigarettes are usually sealed by hand or heat-sealed on an iron with an unstable temperature. The operation is arbitrary and can easily lead to different shapes of the transparent paper seals of the cigarettes.
