The following is an introduction to Ferrari, as well as a picture of the Ferrari logo:
The legendary logo used by Ferrari has an unusual origin. The emblem was originally used as a personal emblem by Francesco Barracca, a decorated Italian World War I pilot who painted the emblem on the fuselage of the aircraft he flew.
In 1923, Enzo Ferrari met Francesco's mother in a racing match. The mother was very proud of her son's heroic record, so she proposed to let Enzo Ferrari take his son to his home. The Prancing Horse logo on the fighter plane is printed on the vehicle.
In addition to the familiar prancing horse, Ferrari's shield also contains other elements. The yellow background color is taken from the canary in Modena to commemorate the hometown of Enzo Ferrari; while the green, white and red colors above represent the Italian flag.
