Sinochem is a state-owned enterprise. Sinochem Taicang Chemical Industrial Park is located in Port Development Zone, Taicang City, Jiangsu Province. The park is adjacent to the Yangtze River in the east, Shanghai in the south and Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou in the west. It is 40 kilometers away from Shanghai downtown and Hongqiao International Airport, 50 kilometers away from Suzhou-Singapore Industrial Park, and close to Jiang Yan Expressway, Sujiahang Expressway and Shanghai Outer Ring Expressway. It has a superior geographical position and great development potential. Sinochem Taicang Chemical Industry Park covers an area of 683 mu, along the coastline of the river 1.5km, close to the 10,000-ton petrochemical wharf. The park has complete public facilities such as water, electricity and steam, complete raw material tank farm, product packaging and shipping facilities, and extremely convenient storage and transportation conditions. There are three industrial companies and a research and development institution in the park, mainly engaged in the production and research and development of PTMEG (polytetramethylene ether glycol) and ODS (ozone-destroying substances) series substitutes. Since the construction of the park broke ground in May 2003, the first set of 20,000-ton/year PTMEG device and 180-ton/year heteropoly acid catalyst device with independent intellectual property rights has been built in China, and its products PTMEG are mainly used to produce spandex, polyurethane elastomer and ester ether * * * poly elastomer. The 2000t/a HFC- 134a (1, 1, 2- tetrafluoroethane, a new type of environment-friendly refrigerant) plant was completed and put into operation at the end of 2006, and now it has become the largest HFC-1 34a production base in China and even in the world. Sinochem International (Suzhou) New Materials R&D Co., Ltd. in the park specializes in the research and development of PTMEG, ABS resin, ODS series substitutes and fluorine-containing fine chemicals, and has established PTMEG pilot test, pilot plant, ABS pilot test, pilot test and modification laboratory, ODS substitute laboratory and fluorine-containing fine chemicals laboratory. The company has complete testing facilities, complete analysis and testing equipment, and will become a technology industrialization platform combining Industry-University-Research in the future, providing support for the sustainable development of the park.
