Gongcheng Yao Autonomous County is located in the northeast of Guangxi and the southeast of Guilin, bordering fuchuan yao autonomous county and Jiangyong County in Hunan in the east, Zhongshan and Pingle County in the south, Yangshuo and lingchuan county in the west and Guanyang County in the north. The county seat is 0/08km away from Guilin/Kloc-with a total area of 2149km2, of which hills account for more than 70%.
