How many car brands does GM have?
Let's take a look at the brands that GM once owned and now operates. Including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Opel, Horton and vauxhall, as well as Pontiac, Hummer, Saab, Saturn, Daewoo and Oldsmobile, which once belonged to GM and have disappeared.
General Motors Corporation (GM), founded in 1908, is the largest multinational automobile company in the United States and headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, USA. By the end of 20 1 1, GM has about 2 10000 employees worldwide, and its business covers 157 countries, also known as "Ford and Chrysler".
Brands once owned by GM (some news is outdated, but they are all historical experiences of GM brands):
Cadillac, Buick, Chevrolet, Saturn, Pontiac, Hummer, Subaru, Daewoo, Opel, Oldsmobile, Saab, GMC.
Among them, Subaru originally held 20% of the shares and sold them all a few years ago.
Daewoo motor brand has disappeared, and technology and research and development have been merged into Chevrolet as a low-end model. For example, until last year, all the cars with Chevrolet logo on them sold in China were Daewoo technology, except this year's new Cruze.
Opel is a German brand and sold to Magna, a Canadian component supplier.
Saab, originally a Swedish car, is now sold to Koenigsegg Automobile Company, a Swedish luxury sports car manufacturer.
Hummer is intended to be sold to Sichuan Tengzhou Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., but it has not yet submitted an application to China Municipal Government, which may not be successful. Now it seems that this brand has been abandoned.
Saturn is for sale, but not yet.
Pontiac just doesn't want it, doesn't sell it, or doesn't produce it.
Oldsmobile is also going to sell it. If not, forget it.
The rest are excellent assets. Cadillac, Buick, Chevrolet and GMC are all very profitable brands. Don't sell them, keep them to make money, or sell them if they don't.
Chevrolet, Buick and Cadillac are the main products in China, but nothing else.
China GM is only a subsidiary of GM, but it is a profitable subsidiary.
From the gossip above, we can know that GM became the terminator of automobile brands for a period of time, but it also went through bankruptcy and reorganization.
