Relevant documents such as "Methods for the Assessment and Examination of Physician Qualifications of Traditional Medicine Tutors and Personnel with Real Expertise" clearly stipulate that those who have tutors and those with real expertise should participate in the physician qualification examination.

1. This is a medical qualification examination for those who will be apprentices; the conditions for those who will be apprentices must be those with high school education or above or equivalent academic qualifications.

2. The teaching teacher must be qualified as a practicing doctor of traditional Chinese medicine or ethnic medicine, and have been engaged in clinical work of traditional Chinese medicine or ethnic medicine for more than 15 years, or have a technical position above deputy chief physician of traditional Chinese medicine or ethnic medicine.

3. To determine the relationship between the student-teacher and the teacher, a teacher-teacher relationship contract must be signed, and the contract must be impartial by a notary public before it can take effect.

4. The time for students to study with their teachers is three years, and shall not be less than three years.

5. After three years, you can apply to the provincial traditional Chinese medicine management department to participate in the apprenticeship assessment.

6. The provincial-level traditional Chinese medicine management department is responsible for formulating the proposition and specifically organizing the examination.

7. The focus of the entrance examination is mainly to test the students’ basic knowledge and skills of traditional Chinese medicine as well as the inheritance of teachers’ academic experience and technical expertise. In principle, the entrance examination does not test the knowledge of Western medicine.

8. After passing the apprenticeship examination, qualified apprentices can participate in the national Traditional Chinese Medicine Practicing Assistant Physician Qualification Examination after the probation period has expired in a medical institution for one year and they are deemed to have passed the probation period.

3. Even if you have the extraordinary ability to do all these, you will have to study with the teacher for 3 years and practice for 1 year before you can take the TCM Licensed Assistant Physician Qualification Examination.
