Luoyuan Linxia sheep is a specialty of Luoyuan County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. Luoyuan Xiamang sheep is small, with long white hair on its belly. The mutton is compact, odorless and delicious.

There is a peculiar goat named "Yuxia Sheep" in Bili Township, Luoyuan County. It is understood that Xiamang sheep is a kind of goat raised in Bili Village, xiyang village, Shantou Village, Yu Wei Village and Bian Xi Village in Bili Township of Luoyuan. As a unique local strain, its obvious appearance characteristics are small size and long white hair on the abdomen. According to the local elderly, Xiamang sheep has a long history. When Bi Li's ancestors settled here 500 years ago, there were already Chaman sheep here.

Another feature of xia yang is that mutton has no smell. The sheep-raising area in Lin Xia is located in the coastal area, and the salty water vapor on the sea has soaked the grass on the mountain, and salt is an important mineral in sheep feed. "After a long time, the taste of mutton is gone." In addition, Xiamang sheep like to climb mountains and eat grass, so the mutton is compact and tastes excellent.

In 1980s and 1990s, the number of local sheep breeding in Lin Xia reached more than 10,000. Now long-term grazing leads to the decrease of grassland, and the number of breeding is only four or five thousand. It is understood that the breeding of Yuxia sheep is mainly scattered by villagers, and it is difficult to form a scale because there are more than ten households. Li Jiao Village Breeding Base is the only Xiamang sheep breeding base in the county, with a small number of breeding. There are more than 2,000 goats in the base, including about 1000 Chaman goats.
