The most eye-catching thing in Guandi Temple is the "Bamboo Leaf Poetry and Painting Stele". Bamboo leaf poetry and painting steles from different places (Fengshun, Chaozhou, Hebei), also known as "wind and rain bamboo steles", have different picture settings and differences. Bamboo leaf poems all use two bamboo branches, with five-character quatrains as bamboo leaves, which look like bamboo. The poem goes: "If you don't thank Dongjun for his kindness, the painting will have its own name. Don't be afraid that the lonely leaves will never wither." According to "Fengshun County Chronicle", "Poem of Bamboo Leaves Blowing in the Wind" "There are two bamboo trees, four lines of poetry, painting bamboo leaves, rich ecology, black stone, solid texture, exquisite carving. The circulation of rubbings is booming." According to the calligraphy and painting stone carvings of Guan Gong in the Jinghan Pavilion in Chaozhou, compared with the "Guan Zhuang Mu Shi Bamboo Ink Stone Carvings" in Fengshun, both use five-character quatrains as bamboo leaves, consisting of twelve characters. The difference is that the green bamboo is depicted. and signature; Chaozhou Guan Gong bamboo group calligraphy and painting, with two seals in the upper right corner, saying "Han Shoutinghou" and "Guan Yu's Seal", and the lower left is signed "Guangxu Yiyou (1885 AD) Autumn Moon Dunmu Hall Respects It" (see Picture ② below); while Fengshun's "Guan Zhuang Mu Shi Bamboo Remaining Ink" is incomplete, and according to circumstantial evidence, it is an imperial product. The text is "Seal of Han Shouting Marquis" and "Imperial System". Chongzhen Bingzi (1636 AD) Zhang Wenqian; in Zhuo, Hebei The "Wind and Rain Bamboo Stele" engraved in the temple of Emperor Zhaolie of the Han Dynasty (Liu Bei) in the county was found in the seventh year of Zhengde (1512 AD) when the Zhaolie Temple was rebuilt. On the left side of the stele is the strong bamboo in the wind, with its leaves tilted as if blown by a strong wind; on the right side is the strong bamboo in the rain, with its leaves drooping as if it had been drenched by a heavy rain. The bamboo leaves of the two strong bamboos are composed of the words "If you don't thank Dongjun, the painting will have its own name. Don't think that the lonely leaves are weak, they will not wither for a long time." There are two seals on the upper and lower right corners of the center of the stele. The upper right is signed "Handwritten by Confucius of Hanguan" and the left is signed the poem "Beautiful beard leaves rain bamboo...". (See picture ① below)
It is said that the "Wind and Rain Bamboo" painting was painted by Guan Yu when he was trapped in Cao Ying. "Dongjun" refers to the god of Sichun, a metaphor for Cao Cao. The main idea of ??the poem is that if you don't thank the God of Spring for his arrangements, the strong bamboo will not wither due to seasonal changes; you don't have to dislike the bamboo clumps and lonely leaves, but it will not wither in the cold years and is difficult to be destroyed by wind and rain. This is exactly the portrayal of Guan Yu's "body in Cao's camp and his heart in Han". Poems and painters of past dynasties: Wen Tong (painter of the Northern Song Dynasty), Gu An (painter of the Yuan Dynasty), Wuzhen (painter of the Yuan Dynasty), Xia Chang (painter of the Ming Dynasty), Zheng Banqiao (painter of the Qing Dynasty), etc., were all good at painting ink bamboo, borrowing the " "Wind Bamboo Picture" expresses cynicism and reflects the painful life and tragic fate of the working people.
