Yichang is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province. It is located in the southwest of Hubei Province and at the boundary of the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River. It has a history of more than two thousand years. The name "Yichang" began in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and the city's establishment began in the early years of liberation, with a prefecture-level city established in 1992.
