according to historical records, Tong Pi, one of the 28 generals of Yuntai, was named as the marquis of Lingshou after Liu Xiu, Emperor Guangwu of the later Han Dynasty, established political power. Tong Pi is good at fighting and proficient in medical skills. He found that Salvia Miltiorrhiza (Red Root) was particularly effective, so he used Salvia Miltiorrhiza as the main drug to match other drugs, to heal soldiers and people, relieve pain and save lives, and also taught people to buy and sell Salvia Miltiorrhiza in exchange for rice, flour and cloth to save the people from fire and water. Later, Danshen became the top grade, and it was written into the book Shennong Herbal Classic edited by the Eastern Han Dynasty. Tong Pi was also called the King of Medicine by the world. To be grateful, the people of Lingshou designated March 23, when he died, as a temple fair and built a temple to offer sacrifices, and incense has been burning ever since. According to the records of the stone tablet, Tong Pi often saved people from danger when he was born, and legends often appeared after his death. He used Danshen in Lingshou to cure all diseases for the people, and also developed an elixir with Danshen as raw materials to cure stubborn diseases for Emperor Ming Yingzong. He was also awarded the title of "King of Ming Ling" and was awarded the title of "Land of Ming Ling Shou".
