1. Avoid being squatted by dealers and other interested parties abroad.
for example, trademarks such as shenzhou, hasee, KONKA and jinli have all had the painful experience of being registered abroad.
2. Trademark rights are regional.
For example, a trademark registered in China can only be protected by the laws of Chinese mainland, but not in Hongkong, Taiwan Province, the United States and the European Union.
3. Establishing an international brand
Enterprises publicize that their brands have been registered in foreign countries, which is helpful for brand promotion and building the confidence of consumers, partners, agents and distributors.
4. Protect the development of enterprises and expand foreign markets
5. Avoid unintentionally or passively infringing on others' trademark rights abroad, resulting in paying huge compensation fees.
At present, most countries implement the principle of prior application to protect the trademarks that have been registered earlier. If the enterprise does not consider trademark registration and inquiry before opening up overseas markets, it is likely that the trademark rights of others in that country have been infringed; Once someone else has registered first, it is likely that there will be passive infringement and the risk of transnational litigation and huge compensation.
6. Establish international brands, enhance brand value and lay the foundation for creating famous brands.
after China's trademark is effectively registered abroad, it can occupy the international market stably for a long time, expand sales volume and maintain a good reputation. If you don't register in time, others will register first, and as a result, you will spend a lot of money on advertising, and there is no economic benefit. Instead, you will make wedding clothes for others.
7. Most countries have a long period of trademark registration, so it is beneficial to protect overseas markets and implement market strategies to register foreign-related trademarks in advance.
8. The government attaches great importance to and encourages export enterprises to create their own brands abroad. After obtaining a trademark registration certificate abroad, an export enterprise may apply to the relevant departments for special fund subsidies.
