EU trademark registration process:
1. The applicant submits the trademark registration application to the EU Intellectual Property Office. Applications directly to the EU Intellectual Property Office are divided into online applications and paper applications. Apply online for less and in just one language.
2. After receiving the trademark application, the EU Intellectual Property Office will review the trademark application documents to see whether they are registrable, whether they are identical or similar to the previously applied trademark, and whether the documents are complete, etc. . If problems are found, the applicant will be notified to make corrections within 2 months. If the problem is not corrected within the specified time, the EU Intellectual Property Office will reject the application or claim in whole or in part. Trademark documents that pass review will be awarded a filing date and application number.
3. If there are no problems in the EU Intellectual Property Office's review, the registration application will be published in the EU Trademark Gazette. Anyone who believes that the trademark applied for registration infringes upon his or her prior rights can file an objection within 3 months of 1 month after the application is published. The EU Intellectual Property Office will organize the procedures for both parties and make a final decision.
4. If no one raises an objection (opinion) within the specified time or the objection (opinion) is not established, the European Union Intellectual Property Office will register the trademark and publish it in the EU Trademark Gazette and issue it to the Trademark Electronics Registration certificate.
