Zhongshan brand watches, which were very well-known in that year, are well-known old brands in Nanjing. In the memory of old Nanjing people, there must be a place for Zhongshan brand watches. In the mid-198s, it was the first of the three wedding items (watch, bicycle and sewing machine).

The predecessor of Nanjing Watch Factory was Jiangnan Clock Factory, a public-private joint venture. In 1957, the factory was moved to Sifang City in Zhongshan Scenic Area, and the first batch of watches were produced in that year, named Zijinshan brand, which was the first batch of watches produced in Nanjing.
