What is taco?

Taco Tuesday is a food promotion that has existed in the United States for a long time. Restaurants will offer discounts on Mexican food such as Tacos (tortillas) on Tuesdays, similar to Happy Hour in bars. Lakers star James’ catchphrase is “Taco Tuesday”, which triggered a new wave of Taco craze.

Fans of Lakers star LeBron James all know that "Taco Tuesday" is James' mantra. He also matches his words with his actions, taking his family to eat tacos every Tuesday. Because he loves the term so much, James recently filed an application to officially register "Taco Tuesday" as a trademark.

According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, James's LBJ Company submitted an application to trademark Taco Tuesday on August 15. The scope of the registration includes downloadable videos, podcasts, marketing, blogging and online entertainment services, "which provide non-downloadable videos and social media posts covering the fields of sports, entertainment, current affairs and pop culture."

Sources told ESPN that James currently does not have any specific plans to use the trademark but wants to keep his options open.
