What free gardens are there in Suzhou? Which is better?

1. Park Park

is located at No.8, Gao Qiao, Renmin Road, Pingmen, and was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Suzhou in 1991. The original site of the garden used to be a wasteland. In 1932, it was bought by Shanghai egg merchant Wang, and a homestead was built, covering an area of 1, square meters and costing 1, silver dollars.

the granite fence around the garden adopts the traditional garden layout, with mountains and rivers as the main scenery, rockeries covered with rocks and soil, undulating peaks and winding bridges with pools. There are four halls, flower houses, pavilions, corridors and other buildings. There are luxuriant flowers and trees, such as white pine, arhat pine, magnolia grandiflora, cherry blossoms and azaleas. The most precious thing is that there are two five-needle pines planted on the ground, which are about 2 meters high and grow vigorously.

2. Wufeng Garden

Wufeng Garden is located at No.47, Nagato West Street (now entered by Wufeng Garden, Xiatang Street, Changmen). In 1963, it was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Suzhou. It is a classical garden building built in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, and it is one of the more famous gardens in Suzhou.

There are five stone peaks in Taihu Lake in the garden, which are two feet high, extremely wrinkled and exquisitely carved. They stood in the middle of a high mound, shaped like Laozhang, also known as the Five Old Peaks, namely, Zhang Renfeng, Guanyin Peak, Sanlao Peak, Qingyun Peak and Qingyun Peak. The park is dominated by five peaks, supplemented by pools, including cliffs, canyons, caves, stone bridges, ancient trees, dry boats, garden pavilions and caves. There is a mound in the southwest corner of the garden, commonly known as Tang Tomb.

3. Yongcui Mountain Villa

Cuiyong Mountain Villa is located at No.8, Huqiu Mountain Gate, Suzhou. It is built according to the ups and downs of mountains. This used to be the former site of Yue Jiaxuan. There are Baowengxuan, Linglan Jingshe and Wenquan Pavilion in the building, which are small in scale but beautifully built.

Leave Leng Xiang Pavilion and head south, and meander along the mountain road to Cuiyong Villa. Tiger Hill is a collection of scenery, temples and gardens. It has both the beauty of the garden and the victory of the spring stone. Cui Yong Villa is a small mountain garden. Although the area is small, only one acre, its overall style is different from that of urban gardens, suburban gardens and temple gardens, and it is unique among many Suzhou gardens.

4. Tianxiang Xiaozhu

Tian Xiang Zhu Xiao is located in Suzhou Library, Renmin Road, downtown. It was built in 1935 by the owner of Xi 'an Garden Dongshan and Dongting, and was once occupied by the governor Wang Fei. After liberation, it was used by the party and government organs. In 21, it became the Ancient Books Department of Suzhou Library. It covers an area of 2,664 square meters and has a building area of 1,33 square meters. It is divided into residential areas and garden areas. In the west of the house, the existing building is a "back" model, with a hall (Yuanyang Hall), a main building and an east-west hatchback building. The three buildings form a pin shape.

On the east side of the main garden building, it is a horizontal rectangle, covering an area of 1, square meters. The garden is a mountain with piles of dirt and stones, stone steps and paths. There is a hexagonal pavilion on the mountain with lush trees. 5. North Temple Pagoda

The North Temple Pagoda belongs to the temple garden, located at No.1918 Renmin Road, Suzhou, with an area of about 23,59 square meters (about 35.4 mu), and is divided into five scenic spots: Pagoda Garden, Backyard, Guanyin Garden, Huazang World and Meipu. The memorial archway, the mountain gate, the pagoda, the stupa and the sutra depository are on the north-south central axis. Pagoda has the solemn atmosphere of ancient pagoda, Vatican Palace and Buddhist country. The arrangement of flowers and trees in the garden and the plaques of various scenic spots are all around plum blossoms.

There are two rockeries in Meipu Scenic Area. The rockery is stacked with Yellowstone, 8 meters high on the east side, with a dangerous cliff and a wide pool under it. There is a hexagonal pavilion at the top of the mountain, which is called "thin shadow tilting". The south mountain is adjacent to Qingxi in the north, and the hillside is full of plum trees, which is quite natural and wild.

6. Quyuan

Qu Yuan, the former residence of Yu Yue, is located at No.43, Ma Medical College, Renmin Road, Suzhou. In 1874, with the support of friends in Yu Yue, he bought the abandoned land of Xipan's former residence in Mayi Lane, and personally planned and built more than 3 towers for living and writing. In the northwest of the residential area, the original space is like a curved ruler, and a small garden named Qu Yuan is constructed by taking the meaning of Laozi's' bending all', and the horizontal plaque of Li Hongzhang's book' Lu Yu Tai Shi Shu Yu Deqing' is hung at the door of the house. In 26, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit.

7. Changyuan

Changyuan is located at No.22, Tang Miao Lane, gusu district, with an overall layout of West House and East Garden. The garden is centered on the pool, surrounded by halls, boat halls, pavilions, rockeries, flowers and trees, etc. The scenery is rich and multi-layered. It is one of the representative small gardens in Suzhou.

Changyuan covers an area of 2,82 square meters and was built by Wang Daotai in Qing Dynasty. In 1918, it was purchased and renovated by lawyer Pan Chenghua. After Pan Shi went to Shanghai, Zhou Shoujuan asked Liu to look after the garden. It was taken over by the Municipal Garden Management Office in 1959 and resumed in 1988. Changyuan was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu Province in 211. In August 215, Changyuan was listed in the first batch of Suzhou Gardens Directory and announced to the public.

8. Daoqin House

Daoqin Zhu Xiao (also known as Qinyuan) is located in Si Qian Village, Yangwan, dongshan town, Wuzhong District, covering an area of 2,1 square meters. Construction of the garden began in 211 and took two years to complete. This is an antique garden in Soviet style.

The garden pool is centered, the landscape and architecture are properly handled, and the plant configuration is reasonable, which reflects the traditional characteristics of Suzhou gardens. In August, 2, Daoqin Zhu Xiao was listed in the third batch of Suzhou Gardens List and announced to the public.

The water surface is wide, the rockery is exquisite, the architecture is exquisite, and there are many ancient and famous trees, which bloom all the year round. One of the most precious is the "Doll Lotus" which has a history of more than 1 years.

Covering an area of 46 square meters, Xuan Ming is a real sample built by Xuan Ming, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, USA. It was designed by Suzhou Garden Management Office at that time and constructed by Suzhou Classical Garden Construction Company.

Xuan Shi sample is a typical sample of Suzhou gardens and courtyards, which has complete gardening elements. Its design, materials and techniques are excellent, which fully embodies the technical level of Suzhou gardening. It is a masterpiece of contemporary Suzhou gardens and was completed in April 1979. Xuan Ming is the first export construction project with gardens as its content in China, which has taken the first step for Suzhou gardens to go global.
