The counterfeiting of recycled bottles such as bald wine and punched wine has made many consumers angry, but most of the fake Maotai products on the market are complete fakes. This is because the scale of recycling and counterfeiting will be limited by the materials, and if a complete counterfeiting production line is fully powered, there is almost no upper limit on the output.
Almost all counterfeiting teams uncovered by the police are recycling and counterfeiting. A complete set of counterfeit Moutai products has many flaws because all the materials are not produced by the original factory. Mastering the method of identifying these flaws will not only make it easy to identify most fake wines, but it can also serve as a good conversation piece at the wine table. Here are 10 simple and easy-to-understand tips for everyone to quickly identify authentic and fake Moutai.
1. The number 7 with organic code on the back. If the vertical line of the number 7 in the organic code has a curvature, it must be fake wine, commonly known as Big Belly 7. The vertical line of the number 7 of real wine is straight.
2. The organic code is raised. Since Moutai Distillery started using organic codes at the end of 2012, the organic codes have a three-dimensional feel to the touch, and bulges can be seen through light reflection. If the organic codes feel flat to the touch, it must be fake wine.
3. Back label the logistics code grid. The real wine started in 2013. The blue part of the logistics code Moutai logo has a clear grid, while the fake wine has no grid or the grid is blurred.
4. The color of the logistics code on the back label. The logistics code on the back label of real wine is white, while the logistics code on fake wine is yellow.
5. The word "note" in Feitianbiao registration. The left and right horizontal lines of the annotation for real wine are separated, and the strokes are thin at both ends and thick in the middle. The strokes for fake wine are often of the same thickness and connected together.
6. The word "book" in the registration of Feitianbiao. Real wine has a hook at the end of its name, while fake wine has no hook at the end.
7. The connection between the fairy body and the streamer on the left side of the flying sky symbol. There are three points at the transition between the edge of the streamer and the body of real wine, but fake wine does not have these three points.
8. The left side of the flying ribbon is folded. The line of the real wine is a sharp turn with a very sharp corner; the streamer of the fake wine has a gentle transition and no corners.
9. Feitian marked skirt position. Real wine has a dot behind the third line, fake wine has a short horizontal line.
There are many other situations that lead to buying fake wine, so we won’t go into them one by one. Moutai produces tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of bottles every year. Including the remaining stocks from previous years, the number of Moutai circulating in the market is conservatively estimated to exceed 200 million bottles every year. Obviously, counterfeiters cannot produce such a large quantity. Therefore, the truth is clear, the vast majority of Maotai liquor on the market is genuine.
