1. Trademark review in UAE. The UAE Trademark Office will conduct formal review and substantive review of the trademark application within 3-4 months after receiving the application for trademark registration;

2. Announcement of trademarks in UAE

During the objection period, anyone can object to the trademark application. The applicant can reply to the objection. The dissenting party must raise an objection and submit favorable documents within 9 days after the publication of the bulletin. The examiner will rule on the result of the objection.

3. Objection to UAE trademarks:

After 9 days of publication, if no one raises any objection, the relevant trademarks will be approved for registration.

4. The UAE currently adopts the principle of prior application;

5. UAE accepts applications for registration of commodity trademarks, service trademarks, series trademarks, certification trademarks, collective trademarks, defensive trade mark, color combination trademarks, three-dimensional trademarks, odor trademarks and sound trademarks;

6. The United Arab Emirates follows the Nice Agreement on the International Classification of Goods and Services for Trademark Registration, with 34 product classification categories and 11 service categories.
