Wucun Town, where the Jiuxian Mountain area is located, is known as the "Hometown of Apples". The fruits were of high quality and durable in storage, and were underwritten by Fujian merchants all year round. Since the 1980s, a large number of famous new varieties such as Red Fuji, Jonagold, Royal Gala, Meng, Shanxia and Red General have been developed, covering nearly 10,000 acres, with an annual output of 15,000 tons of apples. Due to the good sunlight and sandy soil in the mountainous area, the apples grown here have the advantages of high sugar content, high sweetness, crispness and delicious taste. Red Fuji apples managed using bagging technology have pink color, thin skin, juicy texture, high sugar content and crisp taste. They have won many awards in the fruit evaluation in Qufu and Jining and are famous in nearby counties and cities.
In order to protect the reputation and market interests of various kinds of dried and fresh fruits in Jiuxian Mountain, the town government guided the Fruit Association to register the brand with apple as the leader. All local dried and fresh fruits use the "Holy City Jiuxian Mountain" and "Shengjia" fruit trademarks, which increases the popularity of Jiuxian Mountain fruits. At the same time, 4 fruit cold storages were built with a total storage capacity of 50,000 tons, and off-season sales were implemented to improve economic benefits.
Jiuxian Mountain Scenic Area is located in the north of Wucun Town. It is famous for its strange mountains, beautiful waters, abundant forests and luxuriant fruits, covering an area of ??35.1 square kilometers. The Phoenix City in the scenic area is 548.1 meters above sea level and is the highest point in Jining City. The naturally formed Confucius Stone is lifelike. There are 33 large and small hills in the scenic area, more than 20 reservoirs and dams, and a mountain protection forest area of ??more than 10,000 acres. It is a Jining municipal forest park. The agricultural tourism demonstration garden covers an area of ??2,000 hectares and is the only agricultural tourism demonstration site in Shandong Province and national level in Qufu City.
Jiuxian Mountain was once known as Zeng Mountain, Lanke Mountain, and Jiufeng Mountain, and is commonly known as "Jiuxian Mountain" locally. The name "Zengshan" comes from the fact that the peak resembles a steamer used for cooking and steaming in ancient times. "Shandong Tongzhi" records: "Zengshan - named Jiuxian Mountain, is located forty miles north of the county."
The Jiuxian Mountain Temple Group is located in the east of the Jiuxian Mountain Scenic Area. Built along the mountain are Huatuo Temple, Jade Emperor's Summit, Hongmen Palace, Zhelong Well, Dragon King Temple, Black Dragon Pond, Queen Mother Pavilion, Immortal Bridge, Shibapan, Shanshen Temple, Sanqing Hall, Poyun Temple, There are more than 30 cultural buildings such as Tiantianmen, Zhongtianmen, Nantianmen and Bixia Temple, which are known as "Little Taishan in Southern Shandong". Since the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, pilgrims have gathered here all year round, and the incense has continued to flow, making it quite prosperous as "Mount Tai". Due to several catastrophes, the Qiongge palaces in the Jiuxian Mountain temple complex gradually collapsed. Since 1997, the municipal government has included it in the scope of key cultural relics management and has invested in and completed two phases of restoration projects.
Phoenix City is located in the north of Jiuxian Mountain and north of Tianchi. With an altitude of 548.1 meters, it is the highest point in Qufu City. There is a stone walled village on the mountain, which is called King Wu City. Phoenix City is built on a flat open land on the top of a mountain, covering an area of ??about 3,000 square meters. Confucius Stone is located on the top of Guishigou 300 meters south of Heifengkou. Along the Guishigou extending to the east along the front of Heifengkou, you can see a strange stone naturally bred on Guishiling. It stands majestically on the top of the mountain and overlooks everything in front of you. It looks like a magnanimous gentleman. Confucius Stone is naturally formed from a complete piece of granite. Its texture is so fine that it can only be touched by two people standing shoulder to shoulder. This stone has both spirit and form, appropriate proportions, and ancient charm, which is very rare. Viewed from several different angles, it is no different from the picture of Confucius' teachings painted by Wu Daozi of the Tang Dynasty. People call it the Confucius Stone. The stone statue is 2.6 meters high and 5.6 meters in circumference. It has a wide robe and big sleeves, a sword on its waist, and a silk scarf to tie its hair. It holds hands on its chest and walks among the mountains and rivers. It is a famous scenic spot in Jiuxian Mountain. Behind the Confucius Stone, there are two rows of knights walking along the ditch. They are the vehicles used by Confucius and his disciples to travel around the world, which coincides with Confucius' deeds 2,500 years ago.
Jiuxian Tianchi is located in the west of Jiuxian Mountain Scenic Area. Legend has it that nine fairies descended to the mortal world and bathed here, hence the name Nine Fairies Tianchi. Nine Immortals Tianchi is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with lush fruit trees on the east bank and green willows hanging down on the west bank. The mountains are clear and the water is beautiful, the water and sky complement each other, the color is like jasper, and the scenery is infinite. It is also far away from the hustle and bustle of the world, living alone in the quiet and natural sky. There are "green mountains on three sides and one bank" "Willow, a clear water reflecting white clouds" has a good reputation. Jiuxian Tianchi was built in the winter of 1966 by collecting stream water, with a total water storage capacity of 500,000 cubic meters.
All water sources come from clear mountain streams, which are crystal clear and rippling blue waves. There is a cold water spring in the upper reaches of the pool, with a daily water volume of 30 cubic meters, which never dries up all year round.
The ruins of the tombs of King Anqiu of the Ming Dynasty are located in the north of Wanglin Village. Surrounded by mountains to the east, west and north, the three tombs are built in the shape of "pin". On December 23, 1977, it was announced as the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in Shandong Province. There are only three mounds on the tombs, two of which are completely sealed. The largest one is in the shape of a dome, with a diameter of 80 meters and a slope height of 3.5 meters. It is made of yellow clay and sand. The other mound is 24 meters wide from east to west and 24 meters wide from east to west. It is 40 meters long from north to south and 20 meters high on the slope; the third one has been razed to the ground. In 1958, the ground collapsed while farmers were farming, and they discovered a brick tomb. An epitaph was dug out, which read: "General Kuang Zhiming of Anqiu Town, Lu Mansion", which was inscribed in seal script. "History of the Ming Dynasty? List of Kings" records: Zhu Zhaohui, the second generation King of Lu, conferred the title of King Anqiu on his fourth concubine Zhu Taining in the 10th year of Xuande. It was passed down to eight generations until the reign of Tianqi when the title was removed.
