Automobile tire quality identification:

1. Bias-ply tires. The carcass ply and buffer layer of bias-ply tires intersect adjacent cords, and are less than 90 degrees from the center of the crown. ° angle arrangement, the specifications are expressed by "××-××" molded impressions, such as 6.50-16, 9.00-20, etc. Bias tire carcass has many layers of material, and the outer edge size changes greatly before and after inflation. The tire has large rolling circumferential deformation. It is not wear-resistant and puncture-resistant. It is not suitable for high-speed and long-distance driving, and its service life can reach 70,000 kilometers.

2. Radial tires The carcass ply cords of radial tires are arranged at an angle of 90° or close to 90° with the crown center line, and are tightened with the belt layer to tighten the carcass. Its specifications are represented by "××R××" die-engraved marks, such as "P225/75R15, 9.00R20", etc. Radial tire carcass has few layers of material and a steel belt layer to tighten the carcass. The size of the outer edge of the tire does not change much before and after inflation, and the rolling circumferential deformation is small. It is wear-resistant and puncture-resistant, has low energy consumption, and is suitable for high speed and long distances. Operation, the driving life is more than 90,000 kilometers.

3. Full-standard tires Full-standard tires are tires produced by tire manufacturers that are tested by the company's quality inspection department against the corresponding national standards or corporate standards, and all indicators meet the standard requirements. On the sidewall of the tire, the factory name, trademark, specifications, standard rims, production license number, production number and related quality marks are clearly and completely engraved without smearing or knife scratches. The quality of tires that are painted or scored with a knife is not guaranteed.

4. There are two situations in which standard tires are sold:

1) Tire factory quality inspectors detect the existence of tires from the production line through testing equipment according to inspection procedures, which affects the service life. Defects, tires that do not meet the requirements of relevant standards but still have a certain use value;

2) Tires with a production date of more than two or three years in inventory. Sales standard tires are called sub-standard tires or defective tires in the factory. The factory usually reduces the price and distributes them to dealers once, and is not responsible for after-sales service. Before leaving the factory, these tires are wiped with chemicals or removed with a knife to remove the stenciled marks of the factory name, trademark, specifications and related quality marks. The tires sold are all new.

5. Cut-mark tires: Cut-mark tires are tires purchased by users that have problems such as bulges, air leakage, heavy leather, etc. during use. The dealer returns them to the manufacturer, and the quality inspection personnel confirms the quality problems, and Tires where part of the trademark, prefix or quality mark has been cut off by the staff. Cut-marked tires are scrap tires. Most manufacturers sell cut-standard tires by the ton, with prices ranging from 2,000 yuan to 3,000 yuan per ton. Some dealers select better cut-mark tires from manufacturers and then sell them to users at low prices, earning high profits from them.

For example, each 9.00-20 bias tire weighs 40 kilograms, and 25 tires are produced per ton. The purchase price per tire is 80 yuan to 120 yuan. The dealer sells it at 320 yuan per tire, and can get The profit is 240 yuan to 200 yuan. If all 25 tires are sold, the profit can be 6,000 yuan to 5,000 yuan.

6. Retreading tires: After purchasing tire retreading equipment, some small rubber product factories purchase scrap car tires from scrap recycling units, cut off the crowns to expose the ply, and then re-vulcanize the crowns through the vulcanization process. , produces retreaded tires. This kind of tire has vulcanization marks on the vulcanization joint of the carcass, and the molded marks on the side of the carcass are uneven and easy to identify.

At present, all retreaded tires are bias tires, and there is no domestic precedent for retreading radial tires. Retreaded tires are only suitable for low-speed vehicles and cannot be installed on steering wheels of motor vehicles.

Identification of retreaded tires:

Repaired tires. Some self-employed individuals repair the recycled tires with less tread wear and sell them at low prices. Repaired tires are easy to identify because they have obvious wear marks.
